HELEN DOROTHY MARIE JANSSEN, age 93, of Luverne, died Sunday, August 22, 2010, at the Tuff Memorial Home in Hills. She was born November 22, 1916, in Luverne, to Wilhelm and Augusta (Fandrei) Beyer. Helen was baptized on December 10, 1916; and confirmed on June 22, 1930, at St. John Lutheran Church in Luverne. She grew up and attended school in Luverne. Helen married Harry Janssen on May 22, 1938, in Luverne. The couple lived in Luverne and Helen worked part time at Wards and M & M. Helen became a resident of the Tuff Memorial Home in April of 2010. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, in Luverne. She enjoyed baking, bowling,ceramics, playing cards, flowers, animals and decorating during Christmas season. Helen is survived by her three children, Wayne (Judy) Janssen, Russell, KS; Linda Koranda, Country Club, MO; and Louise (Martin) Parent, Beverly Hills, MI; six grandchildren, Dean (Rachael) Janssen, Doug (Cindy) Janssen, Michelle Stoll, Ranae Janssen, Brett (Tracey) Koranda & Megan (Jason) Brushwood; and six great grandchildren, Jordan, Kaelee, Cody, Callie, Richard & Miley. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry, in 2001; son, Lyle, in 2003; four brothers; and six sisters.
