HELENA ?HELEN? MARY BALSTER, age 96, of Worthington, formerly of rural Wilmont, died Monday, October 26, 2009, at the Crossroads Care Center in Worthington. She was born January 14, 1913, in rural Wilmont, to Henry and Otillia (Schmit) Balster. Helen attended school in Wilmont. She lived most of her life in Wilmont on the family farm. There she enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening and had a special love for her cats. In June of 2002, she became a resident of Crossroads Care Center in Worthington. Helen was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Wilmont. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Mike & Alex; a sister, Pauline Broich; an infant sister; and an infant brother. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Wednesday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, in Wilmont, officiated by Fr. Timothy Hall. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Wilmont.
