HENRY KLINKENBERG, age 71, of Luverne, died Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Ellsworth. He was born April 28, 1943, in St. Olaf, IA, to Alvin and Mabel (Hakert) Klinkenberg. He attended country school in rural St. Olaf, IA.
Henry farmed with his father east of St. Olaf before moving to Minnesota. In the early 2000's, he moved to Luverne where he drove semi-tractor for Hills Stainless Steel. Henry retired at the age of 69 because of health reasons.
He enjoyed the outdoors and camping in his trailer.
Henry is survived by his five children, Jamie Klinkenberg, Bruce Klinkenberg, Brenda Klinkenberg, Sandy Curran and William Klinkenberg; two step-sons, Mark & Stacy Polodna; and two sisters, Mikki (Keith) Kelly, Bloomington, WI; and Carolyn (Don) Berns, St. Olaf, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 5-7pm Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne. Funeral will be at 11 am Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery in Elkader, IA at 1pm on Wednesday.
