HERBERT "MIKE" LOUIS KRULL, age 96, of Rushmore, died Friday, February 14, 2025, at the Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Ellsworth. He was born October 11, 1928, in Luverne, to John and Helen (Frahm) Krull. Mike attended school in Granite, IA. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Mike married Esther DeVries on August 31, 1954, at the parsonage of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church south of Rushmore. After their marriage, the couple lived one mile north of Rushmore where they owned & operated Krull's Service for twenty six years. After selling the business in 1987, Mike worked for Dave Schutte on the farm.

He enjoyed fishing, spearing, hunting, gardening, playing pinochle and traveling to the casino.

Mike is survived by his three sons, Eugene "Shorty" Krull, Adrian; Merle (Brenda) Krull, Rushmore; and Lyle (Wanda) Krull, Worthington; four grandchildren, Travis (Michele) Krull, Joey Krull, Jon Krull, and Amy (Brandan) Parker; four great-grandchildren, Jordan, Kailey, Madison and Michael Krull; a brother, Wayne (Mary) Krull, Tyler; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Krull, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Esther Krull on February 8, 2018; son, Larry Krull; six brothers, Orville, Jim, Homer, Bill, Don, and John Krull Jr.; and a sister, Elaine Bartholomaus.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 19 from 4-7 pm at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. A private family service with full military honors provided by the Worthington American Legion & VFW will take place later.
