HERBERT ROLAND WICK, age 85, of Rushmore, died Saturday, June 30, 2007 at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley, IA. He was born April 17, 1922 in Little Rock Township, Nobles County, MN; to parents Herman and Freda (Pieper) Wick. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Rushmore. He attended country school in Little Rock Township and high school in Rushmore. After his schooling he farmed with his family. Herbert was united in marriage to LaVera Van Klei on November 7, 1959 at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Rushmore. They farmed on the Wick family farm and lived their entire married life in Little Rock Township engaged in farming. He was a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church and was active in the church with the choir, Sunday School and served as an elder. He enjoyed fishing, singing, watching baseball, his family and grandchildren and visiting with his friends. He is survived by his wife, LaVera Wick, Rushmore; children, Linda (Tom) Studer, Sioux Falls, SD; Allen (Robin) Wick, Mesa, AZ and Brenda (Brad) Lynn, Lismore, MN; nine grandchildren, Jake, Breanna and Jordan Studer; Tyler and Tanner Wick; Morgan, Mitchell, Nate and Tony Lynn; brother, Myron Wick, Worthington; and a sister Ruth (Eric) Obermoller, Brewster, a sister-in-law, Erma Wick, Worthington. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Eugene and a sister, Luvaine. Blessed Be His Memory.
