Obituary

HILDA C. RUST, age 91, of Worthington, died Saturday, November 25, 2006, at the South Shore Care Center, in Worthington. She was born April 18, 1915, in rural Adrian, to Anton and Frances Redder. She attended country school in rural Adrian; and St. Adrian Catholic School. Hilda married Harold Rust on January 20, 1936, in Canton, SD. After their marriage, the couple farmed near Lac Qui Parle; and later near Little Rock, IA, before moving to a farm near Lismore. In 1954, they moved to Adrian where Hilda worked as a cook in the Adrian School for over fifteen years. In 1980, they moved to Worthington where Hilda worked at Senior Dining. She retired in the late 1980?s. Hilda became a resident of the Okabena Towers, in Worthington, in 1994 and resided there until recently. She attended the First Baptist Church, in Worthington; and she enjoyed cooking & needlework. Hilda is survived by her eight children and their spouses, Ilene Luknic, Worthington; Donald & Jan Rust, Ft. Collins, CO; Joan & Norman Cowan, Barstow, CA; Sharon & Charlie Langenegger, Salt Lake City, UT; Richard & Nelda Rust, Waco, TX; Carol & Steve Larson, Meade, KS; Robert & Jacinta Rust, Worthington; and Gerald & Rose Rust, Indianapolis, IN; twenty one grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brother, Robert Redder, Luverne; and two sisters, Alice Redder, Twin Cities; and Lois (Mac) Custer, North Dakota. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold, in 1990; grandson, Joshua Larson; brother, Clarence Redder; and three sisters, Ann Pfannes; Sr. Edna Redder; and Rita Pfauth.
