ILA JEAN MARGARET HENRICHS, age 84, of rural Magnolia, died Friday, November 29, 2013, at the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. She was born June 16, 1929, in Nobles County, to William and Agnes (Henning) Stoffel. Ila attended St. Anthony Catholic High School in Lismore. She later worked at the Lismore Telephone Company.
Ila married Noel Henrichs on June 16, 1947, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore. After their marriage, the couple lived in Adrian where Ila worked at the café, Galles Hatchery and Schutz Hardware. They moved to a farm southeast of Magnolia and farmed and then moved to the acreage north of Magnolia. Ila worked as a Nurses Aid at the Arnold Memorial Hospital and the Luverne Hospital before retiring.
She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Luverne, where she was a part of the Adoration Chapel family since its inception; and the WCCW. Ila enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, yard work, fancy work and square dancing. She loved to see and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and especially enjoyed them coming over on Halloween.
Ila is survived by her three children, Deb (Ron) Luettel, Adrian; Bruce (Lana) Henrichs, Ellsworth; and Lori (Mark) Holtz, Adrian, eleven grandchildren, Travis (Jessi) Luettel, Troy (Jyll) Luettel, Tami (Greg) Leuthold, Ryan (Crystal) Holtz, Scott (Melanie) Edwards, Stacy (Jeremy) Olson, Kelly (Ryan) Halverson, Cody (Nicole) Henrichs, Dustin Donth, Bradley Donth & Kiley (Mitch) Ganun; twenty nine great grandchildren; a sister, Sharyl (Don) Boom, Albert Lea; two nieces, Melissa Coburn & Donna Turner; and two sisters-in-law, Shirley Burmeister, Pipestone; and Tressa Henrichs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Noel, on February 7, 2012.
Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Monday, with parish prayers at 4 pm, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne. Visitation also one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Funeral will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at St. Catherine Catholic Church, in Luverne, officiated by Fr. Thomas Jennings. Burial will be at the St. Adrian Cemetery in Adrian.
