INGEBORG EMMI GAUL, age 85, of Ellsworth, died Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at her home in Ellsworth. She was born March 13, 1926, in Gelsenkirken Germany, to Wilhelm Adolf Ruh?fer & Else Emma (Petersohn) Ruh?fer. She graduated from high school in Germany and attended business school. In 1945, Inge met Lawrence Gaul at a dance, in Germany, while he was stationed there at the end of WWII. The couple was married on September 25, 1947, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellsworth. After their marriage, the couple farmed north of Ellsworth. In 1949, they moved to their current home in Ellsworth. Inge worked at a restaurant in Adrian before she started working as a cook at St. Mary Catholic School. She then began as a bookkeeper at the Ellsworth Elevator. Inge later drove the kindergarten car, transporting children to the public school. Inge then worked in Home Health Care. She then worked as a TMA and was in charge of the floor in the afternoon at Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Ellsworth for over twenty years before retiring in 1993. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellsworth, where she sang in the church choir; and the WCCW. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafts and her dog, Pepper. Inge is survived by her husband, Lawrence Gaul, Ellsworth; son Richard (Connie) Gaul, Ellsworth; daughter, Ramona (Jerry) Rupp, Andover; seven grandchildren, Wendy (Darrick) Heikes, Christine Rupp, Allan (Kim) Gaul, Anthony Rupp, Tammy (Shane) Kindt, Brandi Gaul & Craig (Fianc?e, Andrea) Gaul; nine great grandchildren, Brandon, Sadie, Alexandria, Talia, Amber, Jace, Taden, Levi & Lukas; brother, Friedhelm Ruhoefer, Essen Germany; three nephews, Wolfgang Ruhoefer, Steve Gaul & Mark Gaul; and two nieces, Kersted (Robert) Kruger and Jeanette Gaul. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister.
