Irene Theresa (Kahle) Reinke

    Irene Theresa (Kahle) Reinke, age 88, of Adrian, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Ellsworth, MN. She was born August 5, 1937, in Shaokatan Township, in Lincoln County, MN to Henricum and Mary (Koploczynski) Janiszeski.

    She married Henry Geurts September 20, 1955. They lived near Marshall, MN and had three daughters and a son. Henry passed away on September 22, 1964. Irene married Roland Kahle December 29, 1965. After their marriage, they moved to Adrian, MN and Irene started working as a home health aide. The couple had one daughter and two sons. After 41 years of marriage Roland passed away on June 15, 2007. Irene married Robert Reinke on April 10, 2010.

    Irene was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Adrian. She was involved in refugee resettlement, taught Sunday School and was the Superintendent for a few years. Irene took classes to become a lay minister, giving sermons when a pastor was unavailable. Irene loved playing games, all holiday celebrations and extensive traveling. Irene was always on the go. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She had a generous heart and loved people, helping those in need.

    Irene is survived by her husband, Robert Reinke, Adrian, MN; five children, Jane (Dennis) Jacobs, Rushmore, MN; Judy (Kurt) Woodard, Sioux Falls, SD; Jill (Jeff) Dunbar, Apple Valley, MN; Ivan (Carla) Kahle, Carver, MN; John Kahle, Brookings, SD. Twelve Grandchildren, Barry (Danielle) Jacobs; Justin (Victoria) Jacobs; Sara (Nate) Grueb; Dustin (Kari) Hawkins; Amanda (Matt) McPherson; Brandon Dunbar (Irene Balasoiu); Mitchell Dunbar; Jordan (Paige) Kahle; Zachary Kahle (Emma Panning); Jacob Kahle; Ava Kahle; Emma Kahle. Eight Great grandchildren; John Vlieger, Reagan Grueb, Radley Grueb, Royce Grueb, Brooklyn McPherson, Brynlee McPherson, Elena Kahle and Isabel Kahle.

    Irene is preceded in death by her husbands, Henry Geurts, Roland Kahle; her children, Jean Geurts and Barry Geurts, her parents, father & mother in-law, sisters and brothers.

    Visitation will be Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 10-11 am, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington, MN. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 18, at 11 am, at the Dingmann Funeral Home with a committal service at 1:30 pm at the Prairie Hill Cemetery, in Fulda, MN.
