JACOB HERMAN WIENEKE, age 82, of Lismore, died Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at his home. He was born October 24, 1942, in Leota Township, rural Lismore, to Edmund and Rose (Dollander) Wieneke. Jake graduated from St. Anthony High School. He served his country in the National Guard. Jake married Theresa Engels on February 6, 1965, at St. Kilian Catholic Church. The couple farmed northwest of Wilmont. In 1980, they moved to their current farm. Jake had also worked at Campbell's Soup in Worthington for over ten years. He was a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing and being a lifelong farmer raising hogs & cattle. Jake is survived by his wife, Theresa Wieneke, Lismore; Three children, Ed Wieneke, Adrian; Todd (Christine) Wieneke, Raymond; and Ben (Marlene) Wieneke, Lismore; fifteen grandchildren, Mike (Jessie), Ray, Maurianna, Ronnie and Sam Jepsen, Bryan, Darin (Christine), Allyssa, Anthony (Clara) and Jenna Wieneke, Krin (Trevor) Lomen, Jeremy Roelfs, Marvin Roelfs, Jennifer (Josh) Erwin and Ailamae Roelfs; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Nate, Jamie, Brooke, Blake, Sevarius, Jared, Raly, Laura, Justin, Elijah, Lily and Maxwell; three brothers, Frank (Deb) Wieneke, Lismore; Ray (Shirley) Wieneke, Lismore; and Elmer Wieneke, Ellsworth; a sister, Lois Schmidtke, Trimont; and three sisters-in-law, Carol Wieneke, Lismore; Eileen Wieneke, Ellsworth; and Roberta Wieneke, Adrian. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tammey Jepsen; son-in-law, Rick Jepsen; grandson, Matt Jepsen; four brothers, Jerome, Harold, Herman and Carl Wieneke; and a sister, Arlene (Ron).

A time of fellowship will be from 9 to 11 am Saturday, January 11 at St. Kilian Catholic Church in St. Kilian. Funeral Mass will be 11 am Saturday at St. Kilian Catholic Church officiated by Monsignor Richard Colletti. Burial with full military honors provided by the Lismore American Legion will be in the St. Kilian Cemetery.
