JAMES CLYDE BROESDER, age 74, of Adrian, died Thursday, March 3, 2016, at the Sanford Luverne Hospice Cottage. He was born May 28, 1941, in rural Nobles County, Little Rock Township, to Casper and Tena (DeLong) Broesder. Jim graduated from Adrian High School in 1959. He served his country as a Paratrooper in the United States Army where he served at Ft. Campbell, in Kentucky, from 1961 to 1964.
Jim married Joyce Balk on April 17, 1971, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Wilmont. After their marriage, the couple moved to their place north of Adrian. Jim worked in road construction for Nobles County.
He enjoyed reading and collecting & restoring old tractors.
Jim is survived by his wife, Joyce Broesder, Adrian; three sisters, Bonnie Hauser, Iowa City, IA; Doree (Virgil) Ripperger, Adrian; and T. Irene Jacobsen, Lakewood, CO; and nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Ann Clare; a brother, Bill Broesder; and a sister, Beverly Broesder.
Visitation will be from 1-3 pm Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Adrian. A celebration of Jim's Life will be at 3 pm Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Adrian. Burial with full military honors provided by the Adrian American Legion will be at the Lismore Cemetery.
