JAMES GORDON MYERS, age 75, of Fort Ripley, MN, died Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at the Crossroads Care Center in Worthington. He was born October 18, 1941, in Brainerd, to Jack and Hazel (Thompson) Myers. Jim entered the United States Air Force on June 12, 1961. He served his country as an airplane mechanic during the Vietnam War before being discharged on June 11, 1965.

Jim married Diane Roethemeier on November 1, 1975, in Nisswa. The couple lived in Fort Ripley. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and helping his uncles on the farm.

Jim is survived by his wife, Diane Myers, Ft. Ripley; daughter, Melinda (Mark) Franklin, Parker, SD; granddaughter, Shana Rademaker, Parker, SD; sister, Bertha (Bernie) Kleinschmidt, Lewisville; and two brothers, John (Robin) Myers, Brainerd; and Robert (Sheri) Myers, Acton, MT.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant brother.
