JAMES "EAGLE" ROBERT DECKER, age 73, of Worthington, died Saturday, September 8, 2024, at his home. He was born May 2, 1951, in Worthington, to William and Elfie (Hachmann) Decker. After graduating from Worthington High School, he served his country in the United States Army. Jim married Kim Lingbeck in August of 1991. They lived in Becker before moving back to Worthington. The couple later divorced. Jim worked at Bascke Produce in Worthington before he began his career in construction. He enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins & Vikings. He also enjoyed camping and shooting pool and darts. Jim is survived by his two daughters, Tiffiany (Gustavo) Martinez De La Rosa, Okabena; and Chelsea (fiancé, Aurelio) Lingbeck, Worthington; six grandchildren, Ivan, Christopher, Joleen, Ariani, Jesse and Jace; sister, Sandra (Jerry) Reitsma, Minneapolis; two nieces, Tess & Lisa Shane, & their children; and a special friend, Ron Durband. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jamie Decker; brother, Burnell Decker; sister, Pam (Pat) Shane; and a niece, Ashanta.
Memorial service will be 1 pm Friday, Sept. 13, at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, officiated by Fr. Tim Biren. A time of fellowship will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Burial with full military honors, provided by the Worthington American Legion & VFW, will be in the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
