JAMES L. ROBERTS, age 76, of Luverne, died Monday, July 9, 2007, at the Parkview Manor in Ellsworth. He was born August 7, 1930, in Hannibal, MO to Leroy L. and Greta M. (Hunt) Roberts. Jim graduated from the Luverne High School in 1949. Jim served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was stationed several places in the United States and served overseas in French Morocco. Jim was united in marriage to Patricia Rust on June 19, 1955 in Ellsworth. After their marriage they lived in Luverne until moving to Denison, IA. They moved to Minneapolis in 1968 where Jim worked at Dayton-Hudson for more than twenty years until he retired. In 1994 they moved back to Luverne. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Luverne, Masonic Lodge in Luverne for over fifty years. He enjoyed traveling, automobiles, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David and Wanda Roberts (and their much loved miniature Schnauzer, Heidi), Sherwood, OR; and many nieces and nephews. Jim is preceded in death by his parents; father Leroy 1966, mother Greta 2003, wife Patricia, 1997, and brother Bill, 2001. Blessed be his memory.
