JAMES ELVIS WILLIAMS, age 57, of Round Lake, died Friday, October 11, 2013, at his home. He was born on December 8, 1955 in Worthington, MN to parents, Mervin and Veida (Hinners) Williams. He attended school in Hartley, IA and then he moved with his family to Worthington and attended Worthington Public School. After graduating he received electrical lineman training and also completed a course in taxidermy. James also received his boiler's license and worked as a custodian for the First United Methodist Church in Worthington. He later obtained a CDL to drive truck and he was also a driving instructor for the CDL course.
On June 25, 1975, he was united in marriage to Patricia Negrete and to this union two children VeidaJo and Justin Williams were born. They were later divorced. In August of 1994 he married Linda Kramer and they later divorced. During his life he lived in various states.
On August 28, 1999, James married Shellie Mess and to this union Ashley was born. They made their home in Round Lake.
James enjoyed fishing, pheasant hunting and spending time with his children.
James is survived his wife, Shellie Williams, Round Lake, MN, four children, Justin Williams, Sioux Falls, SD; Ashley Williams, Round Lake, MN; Mike Mitchell, Ramona, SD; Connie Mitchell, Sioux Falls, SD; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, father and mother-in-law, Henry and Elaine Mess, Rushmore, MN; brothers, Paul Williams and special friend, Nyareat Bol, Worthington, sister-in-law, Heidi (Enrique) Romero, and nieces and nephews, Mervin William, Laura Chacon, Brianna, Stephanie and Alex Romero.
He was preceded in death by his parens, two brothers, Larry and Lynn and an infant daughter Veida Jo Marie.
