JANA RAE WILSON, age 79, of Luverne, died Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at her home. She was born October 25, 1946, in Kingsley, IA, to Ollie and Hattie (Keuck) Ledgerwood. She attended school in Kingsley, IA. Jana married Bruce Wilson on August 2, 1964 in Inwood, IA. The couple lived in Luverne. Jana worked as a Nurses Aid at the Luverne Hospital; and at Rock County Family Services where she was an advocate for eliminating domestic violence. She was a wonderful housewife and a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, in Luverne, where she served with the Ladies Aid and was a Bible School Teacher. Jana was also a member of the Luverne American Legion Ladies Auxiliary; and a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed pottery, decorating for the holidays and crocheting all of the new babies a blanket. Jana is survived by her three children, Pam (Bill) Rasmussen, Luverne; Brenda (Scot) Lunt, Adrian; and Wendy (Pradeep) Jayaraman, Sioux Falls, SD; six grandchildren, Dustin (Alyssa) Wilson, Brewster; Amanda (Brian) Mazza, Adrian; Kyle (Tina) Lunt, Adrian; Alecia (Brandon) Lunt, Adrian; Ketan and Sasha Jayaraman, Sioux Falls, SD; eight great-grandchildren, Devin, Carter, Jacoby, Holly, Kade, Knox, Dexter and Olivia; sister, Betty (Ken) McConnell, Fredericksburg, VA; brother-in-law, Dan (Barb) Wilson, Duluth; two sisters-in-law, Geri Hinck, Lake City; and Petra Wilson, Nevada; and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bruce on August 16, 2025; great-granddaughter, Erin Mazza; nephew, Chris Greenhalgh; three brothers-in-law, Dave and Brad Wilson; and Gordy Hinck; and a sister-in-law, Barb Wilson.

Visitation will be from 4-6 pm Tuesday, January 20 at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Funeral will be 11 am Wednesday at the Bethany Lutheran Church, in Luverne, officiated by Pastor Andrew Malmquist. Burial will be in the Sunset Rest Cemetery in Rushmore.
