JANELLE EATON, age 74, of Adrian, died Saturday, January 3, 2015, at the Sanford Luverne Hospice Cottage. She was born April 24, 1940, in Ellsworth, to Ben and Grace (Jurrens) Boomgaarden. She attended school in Ellsworth.
Janelle married Donald A. Eaton on December 12, 1958. The couple moved to Primghar, IA where she worked in a café. From there, they moved to Maple Lake where she worked for twenty five years at Carlson Dolls. The couple moved to Adrian in May of 1996 where Janelle worked at the Arnold Memorial Nursing Home and the school cafeterias.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Adrian.
Janelle is survived by her two sons, Robb (Diana) Eaton, Alaska; and Jeff Eaton, Maple Lake; daughter, Donell Henckel & fiancé, Stuart Hoiland, Luverne; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Eunice (Leroy) Prins, Rushmore; and Linda Rosenberg, Adrian; and a sister-in-law, Rose Boomgaarden, Worthington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; a granddaughter; a brother and a sister.
A private family burial of cremains will take place at the Grand Prairie Cemetery, in Ellsworth, at a later date.
