JANET D. NELSON, age 67, of Beaver Creek, died Sunday, September 14, 2008, at the Sanford Hospital, in Luverne. She was born April 13, 1941, in rural Rock Co., to Jens and Evangeline (Gran) Nelson. She graduated from Beaver Creek High School in 1959. Jan lived in Beaver Creek all of her life. She worked as a custodian at the First Presbyterian Church, in Beaver Creek. Jan also was the Head of Housekeeping at Howard Johnson Hotel, in Sioux Falls, SD, for over thirty Years. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, in Beaver Creek, where she belonged to the Ladies Aid & taught Bible School. Jan was a huge Elvis Presley fan. She enjoyed her animals, attending the Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant, craft shows and visiting with family & friends. Jan is survived by her sister, Norma Gunderson, Valley Springs, SD; many nieces & nephews; great nieces & nephews; and great great nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Phyllis Nelson & Betty Muller; nephew, Keith Muller; great nephew, Dylan Albers; and a brother-in-law, Harold Gunderson.
