JEANETTE MARIE HENNING, age 86, of Worthington, died Thursday, September 21, 2023, at her home. She was born March 2, 1937, in Adrian, to Alphons and Helen (Klontz) Tennessen. Jeanette graduated from St. Anthony Catholic School in Lismore. She moved to Sioux Falls, SD where she worked as an operator at Northwestern Bell.

Jeannette married Alfred Henning on November 19, 1958, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore. After their marriage, the couple lived in Worthington. Jeanette was employed at St. Mary Catholic School from 1976 to 1978. After she was diagnosed with M.S., she retired and began a home daycare for over ten years.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington; the WCCW; and Guild 10. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, baking and having coffee with friends.

Jeanette is survived by her husband, Al Henning, Worthington, MN; five children, Beverly (Jerry) Riegel, Rosemount, MN; Pat (Gidget) Henning, Sibley, IA; Lyle (Carolyn) Henning, Victoria, MN; Theresa Henning, Worthington, MN; and Mark (Lori) Henning, Murfreesboro, TN; twelve grandchildren; multiple great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bob (Chris) Tennessen, Minneapolis, MN; and Jim (Kay) Tennessen, Minneapolis, MN; and a sister-in-law, Mary Tennessen, Sioux Falls, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Theresa Tennessen, Roselyn Vortherms and Mertz Vortherms; and a brother, Al Tennessen.

Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Friday, September 29, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Worthington, officiated by Monsignor Richard Colletti and Deacon Vern Behrends. Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery in Worthington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the M.S. Society or St. Mary School.
