IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jennette "Net"
Reisdorfer
December 25, 1928 – September 22, 2007
Jennette Effie ?Net? (Drenth) Reisdorfer, age 78 of rural Lismore, passed peacefully in the wee hours of the morning on Saturday, September 22, 2007. Jennette moved to The Cottage in Luverne, MN in March 2007. Jennette's faith in God allowed her to bravely face her illness with grace and humor. Jennette will be forever missed by her children, Ronald (LuAnn) Reisdorfer of Adrian; Nancy (Roy) Hau Stricker of Apple Valley, MN; Sandra (Roger) Duncan, of Beaver Creek; 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Jennette was born on Christmas Day 1928, along with her twin brother, James. The twins were born at their parent's farm house in Lyon County, Iowa. Jennette attended Lyon County country school, graduating from Ellsworth High School. In June of 1946 Jennette and Earl C. Reisdorfer were married. Earl and Jennette established their first home in Lake of the Woods County, MN. Earl worked for his Uncle Jerry Pieper and as a Northwoods lumber jack. Their son, Ronald was delivered by a mid-wife in Spooner, MN. In 1948 Earl and Jennette moved to Alice, N.D. Earl managed the Peavey Lumber Yard. Earl and Jennette started farming in 1955 on Earl's maternal grandparent's farm, the late Frank and Elizabeth Pieper, near Lismore. For many years Earl supplemented their farming income with an aerial crop spraying business. Jennette was preceded in death by: her husband, Earl in 1992; their son, Randall Steven Reisdorfer in September 2006. Jennette preceded her parents, Klaas and Effie Drenth; her brothers, James and Arthur; sister Ruth Roozing; and her infant great-grandson, Wyatt Reisdorfer. Jennette is survived by sister, Louise (Hugo) Grosse, Omaha, NE and brother Edward (Wyona) Drenth, Ellsworth. Jennette was tagged "favorite aunt" by her many nieces and nephews. The family wants to acknowledge Jennette's good friend, Blanche Stoffel, and the many hours of companionship Blanche provided since Earl's death. Jennette helped support her family with her farming activities, working at Campbell Soup in Worthington, MN, and as a Certified Medical Assistant. Jennette enjoyed playing piano, visiting family and friends, sewing and needle work, gardening, and Senior Center cards. Central to her life was her faith community, the First Presbyterian Church of Lismore. Jennette was honored with an invitation to Presbyterian Women-it was an honor she shared with her mother, Effie Drenth. Jennette's children give deep gratitude to the love, assurances and care their Mother received while residing at The Cottage. Her children want to acknowledge the Presbyterian faith community director, Kathy Knips, and the Presbyterian Bible Study who joined Jennette at The Cottage throughout her stay. Thank you from the very bottom of our hearts. The family suggests memorials to The Cottage, Luverne, MN, in lieu of flowers.
