JENNIE BOELMAN, age 92, of Luverne, died Friday, April 09, 2010, at her home. She was born March 24, 1918, in Rock County, to Harry and Feka (Ubben) Klosterbuer. She attended Sunnyside School in Kanaranzi Township. Jennie married William Boelman on February 27, 1940, in Ash Creek. After their marriage, the couple farmed in the Rock County area all of their married lives before retiring and moving to Luverne in 1979. William died on August 5, 1981. Jennie moved to The Oaks, in Luverne, in January of 2008; and to the Poplar Creek Apartments in March of 2009. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Luverne; the Pink Ladies; the Blue Mound Quilters Club; and the Kanaranzi Live Wire 4-H Club Leader. She enjoyed needlework. Jennie made a quilt and a pillow for each of her grandchildren?s wedding. Jennie was an excellent cook. She made a special ham on Christmas & Easter. She also enjoyed traveling and wintering in Texas. Jennie is survived by her two children, Larry (Gloria) Boelman, rural Luverne; and LaVonne (Ty) Reinke, Larchwood, IA; seven grandchildren, Troy (Tammy) Boelman, Dallas Boelman, Shelly (Wade) Popkes, Todd (fianc?, Jennifer) Reinke, Scott Reinke, Angela (Rick) Bos, and Alicia (Wes) Ver Meer; thirteen great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Viola Klosterbuer, Luverne; Leona Klosterbuer, Luverne; Goldie Boelman, Luverne; and Enore Boelman, Luverne; and a brother-in-law, Ray (Adeline) Boelman, Ellsworth. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; an infant grandson, David Boelman; five brothers, Henry, Walter, Martin, Fred & Carl Klosterbuer; and four sisters, Grace Griesse, Bena Soehl, Etta Nowka & Ann Top.
