JESSIE BELL, age 94, of Hills, formerly of Luverne, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at the Tuff Memorial Home, in Hills. She was born May 22, 1917, in Spring Water Township, in Rock County, to Albert and Maud (Irwin) Hulbert.  She attended Country School at District 16, in Rock County.
Jessie was united in marriage to Henry Bell on May 25, 1935, in Canton, S.D.  After their marriage they made their home in Canton.  They moved to Sioux Falls in 1956 and lived there until they retired in 1976.  Jessie worked for John Morrell in Sioux Falls for eleven years.  They moved to Waubay S.D. in 1976; Henry died in 1977 and Jessie moved back to Luverne.  She moved to the Tuff Memorial Home in November of 2011.
She enjoyed gardening, fishing, bingo, crafts, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
Jessie is survived by her daughter-in-law, Fumiko Bell, Sioux Falls; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; a sister Betty Nath, Luverne
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry, son, Rolland, three infant brothers, three brothers, Russel, Arthur, Lloyd, a sister, Helen Christenson.
