JOHN KING, age 98, of Worthington, died March 6, 2012 at the Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Ellsworth.  He was born a twin on July 4, 1913 in George, IA to parents George and Kassina (Vander Werff) King.  He attended country school and was a farm laborer.
On September 20, 1946 he was united in marriage to Irene Lienau in Worthington.  After their marriage the couple farmed in Nobles County from 1948 until March of 1981 when they retired and moved to Worthington. They moved to the Meadows in September of 2011.
John was the handyman in the neighborhood and he enjoyed making things especially Christmas stars. There is a star that he made in Texas and California. He also enjoyed fishing and traveling.
John is survived by his wife, Irene King, Ellsworth, MN; three brothers, Carl (Lucille) King, Rushmore, MN; Percy King, Bloomington, MN; and Jim King, Worthington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters and two brothers.
