JOSEPH F. CLARK, age 87, of Worthington, died Monday, January 4, 2016, at his home. He was born May 21, 1928, in Worthington, to Arnold and Minnie (Albers) Clark. Joe served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Joe married Darleen De Vries on June 24, 1953, in Rushmore. After their marriage, the couple farmed west of Worthington, where Joe had lived all of his life except for his years in the military.
He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Worthington; the Worthington American Legion; and the Civil Air Patrol. Joe enjoyed tractors, gardening, biking, following the news, driving around the countryside, talking & visiting with friends and he was especially proud of his family.
Joe is survived by his wife, Darleen Clark, Worthington; three children, Randall (Debra) Clark, Roseville; Cynthia (Gene) Sprecher, Madison, WI; and Valerie (Frank) Eastland, Apple Valley; four grandchildren, Brian (Michelle) Clark, Emily (Nicholas) Kremer, Alicia (special friend, Paul Grinstead) Sprecher, and Aaron Sprecher; two great grandchildren, Freyja & Calvin Kremer; and a sister-in-law, Violet Clark, Worthington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Harvey, Earl & Arnold Clark; and three sisters, Elsie Doeden, Ruth Biegler & Shirley Small.
Visitation will be from 4-6 pm Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Funeral will be 11 am Friday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, in Worthington, officiated by Pastor Galen Smith. Burial will full military honors provided by the Worthington American Legion & VFW will be 1:15 pm Friday at Sunset Rest Cemetery in Rushmore.
