JOSEPH M. TRISKO, age 83, of Luverne, died Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Sioux Valley Luverne Hospital. He was born on August 14, 1923 in Melrose, MN to Joseph and Josephine (Maas) Trisko. He received his early education at St. Bonifice Parochial School in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School in 1941. Following graduation, he spent over fifteen years as a professional musician. He played the lead alto saxophone and the clarinet for the Cliff Keyes Orchestra, the Jimmy Barnett Orchestra and the Jimmy Thomas Orchestra. Joe Married Elda Jauert on January 4, 1960 at St. Girard Magellan Church in Inglewood, CA. The couple lived in Luverne where Joe continued as a musician and also worked at Merrill Shoe Store for 35 years. Joe was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, Luverne where he was a cantor for several years. He was also a member of the Luverne Country Club and a charter member of the Eagles Club. Joe enjoyed listening to and playing jazz music. He loved to travel. He also enjoyed fixing electrical things and doing crossword puzzles in his spare time. He survived by his wife, Elda and his sister, Lorraine (Eugene) Gerding. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ed, Ralph, Erwin, Richard; and a sister Evelyn Enwright.
