JOSEPH ELMER WOLF, age 85, of Adrian, died Sunday, August 30, 2015, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Luverne. He was born August 23, 1930, in Remsen, IA, to Julius and Anastasia (Kusser) Wolf. The family moved to a farm south of Adrian in 1939. Joe graduated from St. Adrian High School in 1948. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1954.
Joe married Betty Klein on September 8, 1953, at St. Adrian Catholic Church. After being honorably discharged from the Army in 1954, Joe & Betty moved to the farm south of Adrian. Betty died on August 27, 1984. Joe moved to Adrian in 1986.
Joe married Joanne Palmer on November 21, 1987, in New Ulm. After their marriage, the couple lived in Adrian.
He was a member of St. Adrian Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the St. Joseph Society; and the Adrian American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling and especially watching his children and grandchildren wrestle in high school.
Joe is survived by his wife, Joanne Wolf, Worthington; eight children, Randy (Kay) Wolf, Worthington; Ken (Renee) Wolf, Adrian; Mike (Cindy) Wolf, Adrian; Earl (Nancy) Wolf, St. Paul; Pat (Dave) Howlett, Huxley, IA; Eugene (Joyce) Wolf, Richmond, KY; Gerald (Kris) Wolf, Spring Valley; and Dan (fiancée, Tammy) Wolf, Glenwood Springs, CO; 23 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two step sons, Greg (Cathy) Palmer, New Ulm; and Dan (Dana) Palmer, Prior Lake; a step son-in-law, Peter (Becky) Heinz, Colorado Springs, CO; six step grandchildren; one step great granddaughter; sister, Betty Burkard, Worthington; brother, Emanuel (Helen) Wolf, Worthington; and a sister-in-law, Joan Wolf, Clara City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Betty; three brothers, LeRoy & Roman Wolf and Bill Neuheisel; and a sister, Lorraine Wieneke.
