Joyce Lucille (Van Lant) Shultis . . . passed away July 21, 2007 at the age of 55 years, eight months after a long battle with cancer. She was born November 22, 1951 in Luverne, MN to Cornie and Jeane (De Jong) Van Lant. She attended Edgerton Public Schools and Southwest MN Vocation School. On June 22, 1971 she married Carl Holmgren. They had two children. They divorced in 1996. On August 5, 2000 she married Robert (Chip) Shultis. She was a member of Crestview CRC and the American Legion Auxiliary of Boulder, CO. Joyce loved her work, enjoyed camping, being outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Robert of Broomfield, CO, two daughters; Tammy (Mark) Masse, and Kari Holmgren, one granddaughter Morgan Masse of Redmond, WA, her parents Cornie and Jeane Van Lant, Chandler, MN, one brother, Brad (Deb) Van Lant, Linn Creek, MO, three sisters; Verna (Warren) Netjes, Andover, MN, Brenda (Dwayne) Vander Vliet, Luverne, MN and Diane (Al) Irish, Sioux Falls, SD as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. Memorials may be made to the Benevolence Fund at Crestview CRC, Boulder, CO.
