JULIA SEVERSON BECK, age 104, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 2:30 AM in the Presbyterian Homes of Roseville, MN. She was born on January 22, 1904, in Brewster, to parents, Albert and Margaret Severson. Julia was raised in Brewster and attended Brewster public schools. After graduation she attended Carlton College and graduated with a teaching degree in music. Julia taught music in Timberlake South Dakota. While teaching in Timberlake, Julie met Dr. Harold Beck and they were married on September 23, 1933 in Sioux Falls, SD. Soon after their marriage, the couple moved to Claridon, TX where they had a dental practice until retiring. After they retired, they moved to Fredricksburg, TX. Julia is survived by a sister, Adah Kraft, Windom, MN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dr. Harold Beck.
