JUNE BELLE BOOTS, age 90, of Worthington, died Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at Our House Hospice of Murray County, in Slayton. She was born June 10, 1928 in Harris Island Township, Osceola County, Iowa to Delbert and Florence (Smith) Morfitt. She attended rural school in Osceola County, Iowa.
June was united in marriage to Hardy Boots on May 28, 1945 in Worthington. The couple made their home in the Worthington area. June worked at various places including Exclusive Cleaners, Campbell's Soup and Cashel Nursing Home all in Worthington. Perhaps her favorite calling was babysitting for many years for local families.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Worthington; and a member and past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting and doing crafts.
June is survived by her four children & their spouses, Julia Berger, Worthington; Hardy D. & Diane Boots, Worthington; Debra & Hobart Moss, Sioux Falls, SD; and Pamela & Kevin Fleming, Worthington; daughter-in-law, Janice Boots, Altus, OK; ten grandchildren, Jeff, Joan, James, Jill, Craig, April, Christina, Chad, Nathaniel and Kyle; ten great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Erica, Brittany, Brandon, Zachary, Elizabeth, Ashley and Brock, Bryce, Raegan; and a great great-grandson, William Vis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hardy on April 3, 1999; son, James on November 7, 1999; granddaughter, Katie Fleming on September 21, 2014; four brothers, Delmar, Lloyd, Henry and Elmo Morfitt; and four sisters, Fern Senn, Ada Singer, Evelyn Hurst and Beulah Senn.
Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 pm Monday at the First Lutheran Church in Worthington. Funeral will be 1:30 pm Monday at First Lutheran Church, in Worthington, officiated by Vicar Jon Wendt. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worthington.
Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, is in charge of arrangements.
