Kathleen L. Davis, 51, of 520 Mabel Street, Fairchild, passed away very suddenly, Friday, Sept. 23, 2011 at her home.
Kathleen Louise Davis, daughter of John and Geneva (Marsh) Nau, was born Oct. 1, 1959 in Brewster, Minnesota. She was raised in Brewster, where she graduated from high school in 1978. For 18 years she had been employed as the manager of McCarthy's in Adrian, Minnesota. In 1999 she moved to Fairchild, Wisconsin, to be near Lynn Davis who she later married on June 30, 2000 in Worthington, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Fairchild, and for the past 9 years Kathleen had been employed for Nelson Global in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. Kathleen will be remembered as having a true "Heart of Gold." She always put everyone else first, trying to help wherever needed. Her family all agreed that there are 3 types of givers in this world, he who gives to get, he who gives to take, and he who gives to give. Kathleen gave to give all her life and in death she continued her generosity to others by being an eye, bone and tissue donor. Kathleen had a deep love for her husband, extended family and was especially blessed and proud to be the step mother of her 2 cherished step daughters, Rachel and Amanda.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Lynn of Fairchild; stepdaughters, Rachel and Amanda Davis of Humbird; 5 brothers, Leo Nau of Lawrence, Kansas, Phillip (Jan) Nau of Ocheyedan, Iowa, Francis Nau of Brewster, Minnesota, Leonard (Susan) Nau of Worthington, MN, Doug (Lori) Nau, Worthington, Steven Nau (Mark Koppenberg) of Minneapolis, MN; 3 sisters, Joyce Mormann of Adrian, MN, Loretta (Edward) Smith of Brewster, MN, Linda (Mark) Ruehle of Jesup, Iowa;
Lynn's siblings and in-laws, Gene (Mary Ann) Davis of Minneapolis, Beverly Davis of Magnolia, MN, Marjorie Davis of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Sandra Robison of Big Stone City, S.D. She was preceded in death by her father in 1986, her mother in 2001, niece Tammy Nau and brother-in-law, Joseph Mormann.
Funeral services for Kathleen will be held Thursday, Sept 29, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Luverne with Rev. Ronn Rakow officiating. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne. Friends may call at the church on Thursday starting at 1:30 p.m.
