KAY DIANE MADSEN, age 72, of Adrian MN, died Friday, November 3, 2023, at the Sanford Luverne Medical Center. She was born April 25, 1951, in Fairmont MN, to Earl and Patricia (Lockard) Stump. Kay graduated from Sherburn High School in 1969. She later graduated from Beauty School.

Kay married Rodney Getzel in 1980 and had three children together: Sheena, Cory and Krista. The couple lived in Worthington MN, where Kay worked as a manager at Regis Hair Salon. They later divorced.

Kay married Dan Madsen on September 16, 1994 at Lincoln Park in Fairmont. The couple lived in various communities including Fairmont, Jackson, MN and Sibley, IA before moving to Adrian in 2013. Kay loved face painting and did so every summer through Fantasy Face Painting. Her and Dan also entertained with their music, "Two Of A Kind". She was an award-winning stylist and owned her own salons.

Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Dan Madsen, Adrian; three children, Sheena (Ryan) Eidhammer, Adrian; Cory (Jamie) Getzel, Sioux Falls, SD; and Krista (Jon) Kurtz, Luverne, MN; seven grandchildren, Ryker, Raylan and Ruxin Eidhammer; Seriah and Braylon Getzel; Temperance and Hazel Kurtz; three step children, Rachel (Jeff) Wurth, Dakota Dunes, SD; Cory "Biff" (Sarah) Madsen, Omaha, NE; Sara Madsen, Sioux City, IA; nine step grandchildren; a brother, Kent (Beth) Stump, Rapid City, SD;

two sisters, Kathy (Dean) Weiss, Sherburn; and Kami (Erik) Olesen, Mingo, IA; brother-in-law, Kieth (Kathy) Worthley, Truman, MN; and many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Patricia; sister, Karen Worthley; and a brother, Kip Stump.

Funeral will be 11 am Thursday, November 9 at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Adrian. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday. Burial will be in the Adrian Cemetery.
