Obituary

KEVIN "HOBBS" ROBERT HARBERTS, age 62, of Adrian, passed into his eternal life Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington after a year and 8 month battle with stomach cancer and various additional health issues. He was tired and his body was more tired from trying to fight everything, but what a fight he fought.

Kevin was born January 25, 1963, in Worthington, to Daryl and Joyce (Alberts) Harberts, growing up in Rushmore, MN.

He attended school in Worthington, graduating from Worthington Senior High school in 1981.

During his adult life, Kevin worked construction, drove semi OTR for Bruce & Brian Lindemann, hauled propane and anhydrous with/for his dad at Daryl's Service before eventually taking a position at MNDOT. He enjoyed plowing snow the most until he was unable to continue work in July of 2025.

Kevin became a member of Living Rock Church in Luverne in 2022. He was also a long time member of MN ABATE and a former member of the Adrian Jaycees.

He was a giving soul and would lend a hand anytime he was asked, but wasn't ever really one to ask for help.

Kevin met who would become the love of his life in 2000, Traci (Reese) and they were united in marriage in Adrian on 8-18-18, Kevin saying that would be an "easy date to remember". Earlier in his life, he enjoyed vacations, camping and attending WeFest with his parents and siblings. He took up snowmobiling for a lot of years, enjoying trips out west with his friends. He later decided that riding motorcycles was a much warmer hobby, owning several Harley Davidson motorcycles over the years until 2017 when he completely changed brand and purchased his first Indian motorcycle. Kevin enjoyed attending the yearly Sturgis Rally for well over 30 years and trips to Colorado, Montana, Texas Canada and many weekend trips with Traci. Kevin and Traci also took to weekend camping the last 2 years in various places with family and friends.

Kevin will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Traci, Adrian; mother, Joyce, Sibley, IA; three children, Tyller (Jocelyn) Kracht, Lismore; Marissa (Josh) Mouw, Boyden, IA; and Trenton (Tara) Kracht, Adrian; ten littles that loved their Papa; Wyatte, Wesley, Willo, Collin,  Aubrey, Grace, Ashtyn, Casey, Breya and Parker; two siblings, Denise Cook, Everly, IA; and Greg (Amy) Harberts, Rushmore; three nieces & nephews, Matt, Ryan (Brandon) and Morgan (Cody); and five great-nieces & nephews, Skylar, Mazie, Anna, Sutton and Cooper.

He was preceded in death by his father Daryl; brother-in-law, Kevin Cook; and his mother and father in-law, Vern and Lyla Harnack.

Visitation will be 2-5pm Sunday, Nov. 30 at Living Rock Church, Luverne. The funeral will be at 10am Monday, Dec. 1 also at Living Rock Church with family present one hour prior to service. Pastor Josh Hayden will officiate.
