KEVIN WAYNE MEJIA, age 61, of Lobelville, TN, formerly of Worthington, died Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. He was born April 7, 1964, in Kansas City, KS. He attended school in Primghar, IA and later at Worthington High School.

Kevin lived in many cities including, Lobelville, TN, Lakeland, FL and Worthington. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #49. Kevin was a funny, caring man who could make anyone laugh. His sense of humor and big heart were a big part of what made him so special to those who knew him. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Earnestine Morgan, Worthington; daughter, Jessica (friend, Sergio) Kuemper, Chaska; three grandchildren, Ayana, Isaac and Leon; and three siblings, Gary (Angie) Morgan, Des Moines, IA; Kenny (Angela) Morgan, Indianola, IA; and Mary (Wayne) Womble, Sioux Falls, SD.

He was preceded in death by his step father, Terry Morgan Sr.; daughter, Marinda Mejia; and two brothers, Larry Mejia and Terry Morgan Jr.

Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm, Thursday, October 9 at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. Memorial service will be 1 pm Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. A private family committal will take place at a later date.
