KHAMMA SYNAVONE, age 73, of Worthington, died Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Sanford Worthington Medical Center in Worthington. He was born one of six children on May 5, 1939 in Ban Najik, Lao to parents, My and Pheng Synavone. He grew up in Ban Najik, Lao and graduated from high school. After his schooling he worked as a detective in Savannakhet, Lao.
Khamma was united in marriage on June of 1962 to Vanh Inthichak. In December of 1979, Khamma moved his family to several refugee camps until finally immigrating to America in 1986. Khamma found employment at Campbell Soup Company in Worthington and was employed until the plant closed. He then retired. Khamma enjoyed fishing, hunting and making things with his hands.
Khamma is survived by his wife, Vanh Synavone, Worthington; five children, Thodsakan Synavone, Ban Lahako, Lao; Vanxay (Thi) Synavone, Worthington; Phitsamay (Daophonh) Meunsaveng, Worthington; Somxay (Jun) Khamphanh, Worthington; and Phailath (Vanh Khounin) Synavone, Worthington; and fourteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
