KHAMMY BUARAPHA, age 100, of Worthington, died Monday, January 15, 2007 at South Shore Care Center in Worthington. She was born May 25, 1906 in Laos. Khammy was united in marriage to Kham Buarapha in Laos. They farmed in Laos and he preceded her in death in 1965. She later moved to Thailand and lived in a refugee camp for three years. In 1980 she moved to the USA and settled in Ottumwa, IA. In 1983 she moved to San Diego, California to live with her daughter and son-in-law. In 1984 they moved to Sioux City, Iowa and in 1987 they moved to Worthington. She lived with her family until 2003 when she became a resident of South Shore Care Center in Worthington. She is survived by a son, Vanh Buarapha, LaCrosse, Wisconsin and a daughter, Chanh (Bernard) Molay, Worthington, 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five children, two brothers and two sisters. Blessed be her memory.
