KYLE DAVID UPPMAN, age 27, of Tampa, Florida; formerly of Worthington, died Friday, February 4, 2011 at his home. He was born January 6, 1984 in Worthington, MN to parents David and Beverly (Slater) Uppman. He attended Worthington Public Schools graduating in the class of 2002. He eventually moved to Custer, SD and worked for the Custer State Park at the lodge. Kyle moved to Florida in October of 2006 and his cooking career took him to Vero Beach. He then attended Indian River State College in Vero Beach finishing his associate degree in business. He then transferred to the University of South Florida in Tampa and was scheduled to graduate in December of 2011. Kyle enjoyed working with the St. Pete?s Times Forum doing an internship with the Tampa Bay Lightning. As an intern, his duties included helping behind the scenes with various sporting, music and entertainment events. With his passion for music he attended many concerts. He enjoyed playing golf, tennis, fishing and all outdoor activities along with the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. He is survived by his parents, David and Beverly Uppman, Worthington; sister, Tracy Uppman, St. Paul, MN; maternal grandfather, Vic Slater, Wilmont; paternal grandparents, Roger and Patricia Uppman, Sioux Falls, SD; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mildred Slater.
