Laura Ann Gjerde, age 59, of Wilmont, Minnesota, died on October 30, 2021 while in hospice care at South Shore Care Center in Worthington, MN.

Laura was born May 23, 1962, to John and Ann (Larson) Holcomb.

She grew up on the family farm near Round Lake, MN. She graduated from Round Lake High School in May, 1980. She attended Bethel College in St. Paul, MN.

Laura married Bruce Gjerde on September 17, 1988. The couple lived in the Minneapolis area where Laura worked as a pharmacy technician and in the pharmacy billing department. They moved to Wilmont in 2007.

Laura was a member of Indian Lake Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, gardening and reading. She loved her pets.

Laura is survived by: her mother, Ann Holcomb, Worthington; her sisters, Donna Holcomb, Chesapeake, VA, and Joan (Greg) Ebeling, Pella, IA.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her father.

Memorial service will be at the Indian Lake Baptist Church on Thursday, November 4, at 2:00 p.m. Officiated by Pastor Lucio Berumen.

A private Burial will take place prior to the Memorial Service.
