LEON BERGMAN, age 53, of rural Luverne, died Saturday, August 18, 2007, at the Sanford Luverne Hospice Cottage, in Luverne. He was born September 17, 1953, in Luverne, to Ervin and Elsie (Gerloff) Bergman. Leon graduated from Magnolia High School in 1971. He continued to work on the family farm until he was married. Leon was united in marriage to Marilyn Olson on February 14, 1976, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Adrian. After their marriage they lived on an acreage near Kenneth. They bought an acreage near Luverne where they have made their home since 1981. Leon enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandson Ross. Leon is survived by his wife, Marilyn Bergman, rural Luverne; two sons, Brian (Tami) Bergman, rural Kenneth; Brad Bergman, Sioux Falls; a grandson, Ross Bergman, Kenneth; his parents, Ervin and Elsie Bergman, rural Luverne; a brother, Dave (Connie) Bergman, Luverne. He was preceded in death by his brother Lloyd on August 23, 2005. Blessed Be His Memory.
