LEONA FUERSTENBERG, age 81, of Worthington, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at her home. She was born on April 14, 1927 to Paul and Frances (Broich) Probst in Wilmont, MN. She attended Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic School in Wilmont until 1943. She then attended Worthington High School graduating in 1944. Leona was united in marriage to Ralph Fuerstenberg on February 7, 1946, in Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Wilmont. After marriage they farmed north of St. Kilian until 1987, when they retired and moved to Worthington. She was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Worthington. She enjoyed needle work, playing cards and traveling. Leona is survived by her six children, Judy Siebenahler, Sioux Falls, SD; Jeanne (John) Van Balen, Custer, SD; Loretta (Dennis) Vanden Brink, Sioux Falls, SD; Linda (Mike) Small, Fairmont, MN; Richard Fuerstenberg, Worthington, MN; and Ron (Kris) Fuerstenberg, Harrisburg, SD; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Marcella (Peter) Reuter, St. James, MN and Esther Reuter, Luverne, MN; three brothers, Ed (Marge) Probst, New Richmond, WI; Chuck Probst, Osseo, MN; and Tom (Elaine) Probst, Fulda, MN; and a very special friend Milo Reker.
