LEONA RIDGE, age 93, of Owatonna, MN; formerly of Worthington, died Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna, MN. She was born September 13, 1923 in Rockwell City, IA; she was the daughter of Ernest and Hannah (Bangston) Anderson. She attended rural school and graduated from Rockwell City High School.

Leona was united in marriage to Donald Ridge on December 28, 1941 in Rockwell City, IA. After marriage the couple farmed near Rockwell City until 1944 when they moved to Worthington, MN; where they farmed until 1985 when Don retired. The couple spent eighteen winters in Mesa, AZ; following retirement. They moved to Owatonna, MN; in September of 2012.

She was a Sunday school and weekday church school teacher at Westminster Presbyterian Church, in Worthington, where she was a member for over 50 years. She also belonged to and was active in the Church Circle.

Leona is survived by her husband, Donald Ridge, Owatonna; son, Gary (Glenda) Ridge, Owatonna; daughter, Nancy (Tim Delahanty) King, Reno NV; four grandchildren, Christi Reed, Sara (Jason) Jacobs, Blake (Melissa) King, and Brian (Vicki) King; seven great grandchildren; and a sister, Carolyn (Cork) Miller, Middletown, NY.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Orville & Alvin Anderson.

Funeral will be 11 am Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington officiated by Pastor Galen Smith. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Worthington.

Memorials are preferred to Westminster Presbyterian Church, in Worthington, or the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna, or donor's choice.
