LEROY HOFFMAN, age 51, of Round Lake, died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born June 19, 1960 in Canby, MN; to parents Raymond and Rosemary (Haag) Hoffman. He attended catholic school in St. Leo and graduated from Canby High School in 1978. He then attended Canby Vocational School in Farm Diesel Study. Leroy then worked at R&T Equipment in Sibley, IA.
Leroy was united in marriage to Laura Grote at the First Presbyterian Church in Little Rock, IA; on July 9, 1983. They made their home in Sibley, IA; and he continued working at R&T Equipment. He later worked at O'Brien County Implement in Sheldon, IA before starting a job at Sathers in Round Lake.
The family moved to Round Lake in 1988. After Sathers Trucking closed he worked at Ericksons Trucks N Parts in Jackson, MN. He enjoyed following Minnesota sporting teams and also enjoyed watching agriculture programing on TV.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Hoffman, Round Lake; son Josh Hoffman, Round Lake; brother, Marvin (Kathy) Hoffman, Glenwood, MN; sisters, Shirley (Mike) Jeppesen, Leaf Valley, MN; and Carolyn Hoffman, Woodbury, MN; and mother-in-law, Shirlene Grote, Sibley, IA
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Donald and David, nephew, Chad Jeppsen and his father-in-law, Lawrence Grote.
