LINDA RAE HOLINKA, age 64, of Worthington, died Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the Sanford Sheldon Medical Center in Sheldon, IA. She was born September 9, 1957, in Worthington, to Clifford and Laura (Mastbergen) Martens. She graduated from Worthington High School in 1975. Linda married Tom Holinka on October 4, 1975 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington. The couple lived in Worthington. Linda worked for over forty five years as a housekeeper at the Worthington Regional Hospital which later became Sanford. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church; and the WCCW. She enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycling, traveling, camping and also spending time with her grandsons. Linda is survived by her husband, Tom Holinka, Worthington; son, Robert (Sandy) Holinka, Worthington; daughter, Michelle Holinka, Worthington; three grandsons, Mason, Logan and Evan Holinka; three sisters, Connie (Dwayne) Wienrank, rural Reading; Karen Martens, Estherville, IA; and Laurie Staples, Worthington; four sisters-in-law, Valerie Veen, Ellsworth; Marlene Martens, Lakefield; Diane Sanow, Fulda; and Barbara (Randy) Weibel, Slayton; mother-in-law, Betty Holinka Schwarzenbach, Worthington; brother-in-law, David (Gail) Holinka, Worthington; special niece, Kristina (Drew) Brockman, Granite Falls; and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gregory and Tom Martens; an infant sister, Lynnette; fathers-in-law, Robert C. Holinka & Norman Schwarzenbach; three brothers-in-law, James Holinka, Dan Staples and Pudge Sanow; a niece, Kelsey Staples-Nims; and a nephew, William Martens.
Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Funeral will be 1:30 PM Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Worthington, officiated by Fr. James Callahan and Deacon Vern Behrends
Burial will be in the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
