LOIS T. MEESTER, age 79, of Luverne, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at the Tuff Memorial Home in Hills. She was born May 22, 1929, in Harrisburg, IL, to Thomas and Leland (Collins) Bowman. Lois attended school in Danville, IL area and later received her GED. Lois was united in marriage to Henry Meester on August 16, 1973, in Sioux Falls, SD. After their marriage, the couple lived in the Adrian area until 1978 when they moved to Lismore. She moved to the Blue Mound Towers in Luverne in 2005 and to the Tuff Memorial Home in Hills in March of 2009. She worked in Nursing Homes in the area and was a cook/waitress in the area also. She was a taxi driver in Harvey, IL for five years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Lismore. She enjoyed her pet dogs, fishing and collecting light houses. Lois is survived by her four children, Tom (Socorro) Currier, San Francisco, CA; Alice Currier, Minneapolis, MN; Eve (Rodney) Hoffenkamp, Beaver Creek, MN; Stephen Currier, Kansas City, KS; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; numerous step children and step grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry, in 2003, son Andrew, one brother and two sisters.
