LOIS SCHMIDT, age 90, of Howard Lake, formerly of Worthington, died Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Shoreline Commons, Howard Lake, MN. She was born in Remsen, IA on March 12, 1916, to parents Gustav and Anna Hanno. Lois attended school in Remsen, IA. Lois married Emannuel Schmidt on October 18, 1939. They farmed near Remsen, IA from 1942 to 1950 and then moved to a farm near Wilmont, MN, where they farmed until retirement in 1971. After retiring the couple moved to Worthington. Emmanuel passed away in July, 1989. Lois is survived by nieces and nephews.
