LOREN GERALD LARSON, age 90, of Worthington, died Tuesday February 20, 2007, at the South Shore Care Center, in Worthington. He was born February 20, 1917, in Worthington, to Gunner and Winnie (Larson) Larson. He attended Worthington schools. Loren married Vesta Johnson on September 29, 1940, in Bigelow. After their marriage, the couple lived in Bigelow, where Loren operated Larson Garage. He entered the United States Army and served his country during WWII. After returning from the service, Loren started Larson Trenching & Backhoe Digging, in 1947; later, it became Loren Larson Crane in 1970. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, in Worthington; the Worthington Elks; the Eagles; Turkey Trotters and Holiday Rambler Group. Loren is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Don & Jan Larson, Worthington; two grandchildren, Justin (Dana) Larson, Worthington; and Nathan (Kathy) Larson, Portland, OR; and a great grandchild, Aria Mardel Larson; He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vesta, on December 11, 2003; grandson, Heath, in 1972; and two brothers, Burton & Alvin.
