LORETTA M. EINCK, age 99, of Worthington, formerly of Wilmont, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at the South Shore Care Center in Worthington. She was born on the family farm near St. Kilian on September 25, 1908, to parents, George and Francis (Kennebec) Hoffman. Loretta was baptized at St. Kilian Catholic Church and moved to Wilmont at the age of eight. She attended school at Our Lady Of Good Counsel Catholic School in Wilmont through the eighth grade and attended two years of high school at the Wilmont Public School. Loretta was united in marriage on May 9, 1927 to Dominick Einck at Our Lady Of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Wilmont. After their marriage, Loretta moved to Flint, MI where Dominick worked in the automobile factory. They lived there for a short time and then moved back to Wilmont to farm. Dominick died on July 15, 1957. Loretta continued to stay on the farm until the fall of 1958 and at that time she moved into Wilmont. She was employed at the Farmers elevator until retiring in 1979. On September 1, 1999, Loretta moved into Okabena Towers in Worthington. She was a member of Our Lady Of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Wilmont and the VFW Auxiliary. Loretta enjoyed flower gardening, quilting, and playing cards. Loretta is survived by her two sons, Leon (Edna) Einck, Primghar, IA; and Gary (Sharon) Einck, Huntington Beach, CA; one daughter-in-law, Gail Einck, Anaheim, CA; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and sixteen great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dominick, son, Arvid Einck on October 5, 1999, great-grandson, Jason Einck in 1991, six brothers, and five sisters.
