LORETTA M. HONERMANN, age 94, of Luverne, formerly of Adrian, died Saturday, Janunary 16, 2010, at the Mary Jane Brown Home in Luverne. She was born September 5, 1915 in Wilmont, MN to William and Margaret (Kellen) Einck. She attended Wilmont Catholic School. On February 13, 1939 she married Ray Honermann in Wilmont. They started farming near Adrian and in 1945 moved north of Wilmont where they lived until 1973. She had many talents, some of which were sewing for all of her children, quilting, and helping with the farming, along with making three meals a day. She still always had time to be a loving mom. In 1962 she started making wedding cakes for her daughter Margaret, and made them for other weddings for ten years. In 1970, she started making bridal and wedding flower arrangements for her other daughter Diane and continued that for 200 other weddings and many other occasions. They retired from farming and moved into Adrian in 1973 where she continued to make flower arrangements until 1982. She made a long stem rose for each Adrian High School graduate for 4 years. She had a love for painting pictures that started when she was 14 years old and then came to life again in her early 80?s. At their 50th anniversary, she could still wear her wedding dress. Loretta was never idle, always on the go, doing or creating something. Loretta was a member of St. Adrian Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of America, CCW and Bible Study. She was a Grey Lady at the Adrian Nursing Home. She moved to the Slade Hotel in 2000, and then to Poplar Creek Estates in 2004, and finally to the Mary Jane Brown Home in July of 2009. Loretta is survived by three sons, Alan (Dianne) Honermann of Mankato, MN; John Honermann of Magnolia, MN; Greg (Mary Jo) Honermann of Magnolia, MN; two daughters, Margaret (Daryl) McNab, and Diane (Rick) Volz of Lakeville, MN; one brother, Frank Einck of Worthington, MN. She has 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Ray, brothers John and Art Einck, sisters Willemina Stunebeck, Olivia, John, Clara Brake, Bertha Lonneman and Gen Honermann.
