LORETTA ANN DUFFY, age 71, of Luverne, died Monday, August 24, 2015, at the Sanford Luverne Hospice Cottage.  She was born September 19, 1943, in Webster, SD, to Raymond and Anna (Pekron) Schultz.
Loretta married Phillip Duffy on April 26, 1962, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Garretson, SD. After their marriage the couple lived briefly in Sioux Falls, SD before moving to Luverne later that year.
She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Luverne and the WCCW. She enjoyed puzzles of all kinds, television, computer card games, coffee with neighbors, and country music. Loretta loved her children's activities especially attending plays, wrestling, football & baseball games. She was also their Den Mother in Cub Scouts.
Loretta is survived by her husband, Phillip Duffy, Luverne; five children, Daniel (Cori) Duffy, Lino Lakes, MN; Denise (Bob) Barrett, Brandon, SD; Darren (Linsey) Duffy, Dell Rapids, SD; David Duffy, Luverne; and Debra (Gary) Dohrmann, Rice, MN; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four brothers, Richard (Darlene) Schultz, Dell Rapids, SD; Roy (Bethel) Schultz, Casper, WY; Don Schultz, Meadow, SD; and Lawrence (Linda) Schultz Harrisburg, SD; and a sister, Delores (Wayne) DeSplinter, Jasper.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial Mass will be Thursday, at 10:30 AM at St. Catherine Catholic Church, in Luverne officiated by Fr. Thomas Jennings. A time of fellowship will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Thursday at the church. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.
