LORRAINE MARY REMAKEL, age 83, of Wilmont, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at the Arnold Memorial Health Care Center, in Adrian. She was born January 3, 1924, in her home in Wilmont, to Matt and Lona (Kremer) Kremer. She attended Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic School in Wilmont. Lorraine married Art Remakel on May 20, 1947, in Wilmont. The couple lived their entire married lives on the family farm near Wilmont. She worked side by side with her husband. Art died on June 13, 1981. Lorraine & her daughter Barb moved into Wilmont in 1982. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church; WCCW; Wilmont VFW Ladies Auxilary; Worthington Elks; and the Wilmont Senior Citizens. Lorraine loved quilting, going to Flandreau, playing cards & taking care of her grandchildren. Lorraine is survived by her six children and their spouses, Bob & Mary Remakel, Eden Prairie; Susanne & Dick Lewis, Mankato; Mike Remakel, Wilmont; Nancy Remakel, Woodbury; Becky Remakel, Wilmont; and Barb & Pat Strassburg, Adrian; seven grandchildren, John, Jeff & Jenny Remakel, Brian (Nancy) & Angela Remakel, and Shane (Kelli) & Dylan Carlberg; two great grandchildren, Anthony & Matthew Remakel; a brother, Alvin (Jean) Kremer, Omaka, NE; and a sister-in-law, Donna Kremer, Fulda. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Art; brother, Raymond Kremer; and a sister, Esther Einck. Blessed Be Her Memory.
