LORRAINE E. MORGAN, age 90, of Luverne, died Sunday, August 8, 2010, at the Sanford Hospice Cottage in Luverne. Lorraine was born on April 1, 1920 to Julius and Elfrieda (Sierks) Wiese in Mound Township, Rock County, MN. She attended Country School No. 50. She graduated from Luverne High School in 1936. She worked as a secretary to the Superintendent of Luverne Schools for seven years. Lorraine was united in marriage to Bernard Morgan on January 10, 1944, at St. Catherine Church in Luverne. They farmed in Kanaranzi Township until retiring and moving to Luverne in 1987. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church where she was a member of the St. Catherine Council of Catholic Women and the Luverne Lions Club. She enjoyed sewing quilts for the missions, bowling and playing cards. She is survived by their seven children, daughter, Patricia (Ken) Block, Wapakoneta, OH; six sons, James (Dorothy) Morgan, Brookings, SD; Randall (Nancy) Morgan, Atlanta, GA; Larry (Mary Ann) Morgan, Woodbury, MN; Richard (Carol) Morgan, Luverne; Robert (Kathleen) Morgan, Shoreview, MN; Michael Morgan, Shoreview, MN; fourteen grandchildren, John Morgan, Stacey (Jesse) Robertson, Christian (fianc?e, Tera) Morgan, Stephanie Morgan, Natalie Morgan, Amanda (Ryan) Wahlund, Daniel Morgan, Laura (fianc?e, Andy) Morgan, Michelle Morgan, Mark (Leslie) Morgan, Anne (Dan) McMahon, Brian (Laurie) Block, Andrew (Lisa) Block and Lauren Block, five great-grandchildren, Hailey, Kienan, Griffin, and Elliott Block, Josie McMahon; brother, Roger (Marilyn) Wiese; sister, Jeannette Helland; brother-in-law, Ken Nelson. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bernard on October 31, 2005; sister, Shirley Nelson; brother-in-law, Jean Helland.
